AIT JUNIORS - Sport For All

AIT Juniors was launched in April 2019, initially with 2 classes. An under 11 class was added in January 2020, before the club grew rapidly to encompass 10 classes covering all abilities from beginners to County players.

Our classes are organised by ability rather than age. We aim to give all our juniors the support they need to progress. Whether playing for fitness and fun or looking for a pathway to high standard competitive badminton, there is a place for your junior.

Many of our Juniors train with us at least twice per week, and all our our classes allow for a minimum of 45 minutes playing time – after all, this is the best way to learn. All lessons take place at Mascalls Academy in Paddock Wood, and feather shuttles are used for all standards. We boast an enviable coach to player ratio; the majority of our classes feature two Level 2 Coaches and a Level 1 Assistant.

For beginners, we can supply rackets for initial use. Apacs rackets are available at cost price at all lessons.

AIT Juniors is a non-discriminatory club, and all juniors, coaches and parents are expected to follow our code of conduct.

We encourage players to enter into competitions, both Local and National, to gain experience and to improve their game.

We are the main feeder club for the Maidstone and Ashford Kent Cell, and are proud supporters of Kent Badminton.

UNIFORM

Our Juniors are given a club shirt upon joining. Thereafter items of kit are available for purchase for both AIT and the Kent Cell.
